    SOCIAL EMOTIONAL LEARNING

Wednesday, April 13th, 7pm-8pm, Watch the Recording

The first session in the series will focus on the 5 competencies of Social Emotional Learning and how these competencies are essential in the classroom and in the home. We will establish Self-Awareness, Self-Management, Social Awareness, Relationship Skills, and Responsible Decision Making as the foundation for social, emotional, behavioral, and academic growth. As supportive adults in children’s lives, how can we model and engage in conversations about these competencies?

    BUILDING A COMMUNITY

    Wednesday, May 4th, 7pm-8pm,

The foundation for creating and building a West Chester Area School District community begins with respect for self and others, especially those we perceive as different, responsibility for what we think, feel, say and do, and the development of healthy relationships. What do these 3R's look like, sound like, and feel like every day? We will intentionally foster our sense of community, build connections, and let kindness and empathy be our guides.

    MAINTAINING HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS

    Wednesday, May 18th, 7pm-8pm,

The core concepts of maintaining relationships will be explored. Expressing care, challenging growth, providing support, sharing power, and expanding possibilities. These research-based strategies have proven effective in helping children and families deal with mental health concerns including stress, anxiety, and depression.
