The West Chester Area School District introduced Schoolwide Reading, Writing, and Grammar Fundamentals to our elementary classrooms during the 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 school years. Direct instruction in Wilson Fundations has continued and serves as the primary phonics and word study resource for students in grades K-3. Heggerty is used as a supplementary resource to provide students with daily, systematic lessons in phonemic awareness.
