Alex holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from West Chester University, where he earned his teaching certification, and a Masters of Science in Sport Management from Drexel University. He currently works as a legislative staffer in the Pennsylvania State Senate serving residents of Delaware County and working alongside municipalities and school districts resolving and advocating on local issues.

Previously, Alex worked for Special Olympics as a program director within the School District of Philadelphia. He oversaw a program in nearly 30 schools where students with and without intellectual disabilities practiced and competed on the same teams. Prior to that, he worked at NBC Sports Philadelphia and was a substitute teacher for the West Chester Area School District. He also has served as a volunteer advocate fighting for legislation to stop violence against the poor across the world.

Alex lives in the West Chester Borough with his partner and their two cats.  He is an alum of West Chester Area School District -- attending Hillsdale ES, Stetson MS, and Henderson HS. In his senior year, he was a recipient of the Spellman Humanitarian Award.

Mr. Christy was elected in November 2023 after completing the  term vacated by Dr. Kate Shaw that expired in December 2023. He serves on the Property & Finance and Policy Committees.
