Keystone Volvo Donates Over 300 New Winter Coats to West Chester Area School District

Earlier this fall, Keystone Volvo employees delivered an incredible 312 brand-new winter coats to the West Chester Area School District (WCASD) as part of the annual Driving Away the Cold campaign. This heartwarming tradition, which began in 2008, continues to bring warmth and support to students in need.

As temperatures drop, WCASD Home and School Visitors carefully sorted through the variety of sizes and colors to ensure these cozy coats reach economically disadvantaged students within the district.

“We are incredibly grateful for Keystone Volvo’s unwavering generosity,” said Patricia Alston, WCASD Social Worker Coordinator. “Having access to a new winter coat not only keeps our students warm but also helps them feel confident and ready to thrive in the classroom. This donation is a gift of both comfort and confidence.”

Nearly 19 percent of the district's approximately 12,000 students are considered economically disadvantaged, making this donation especially impactful.
