Greystone Elementary and East High School Welcome New Administrators

The West Chester Area School District (WCASD) is pleased to announce the hiring of Dr. Erin Stephen as the new principal of Greystone Elementary School and Mr. Kyle Boyer as the new Assistant Principal at East High School. Both selections were approved at the WCASD School Board meeting on Monday, August 26, 2024.

Erin StephenDr. Erin Stephen brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to student success to her new role as principal of Greystone Elementary School. With five years of experience as an Assistant Principal within WCASD, Dr. Stephen has demonstrated exceptional leadership in school administration, teacher supervision, and fostering a positive school culture. Her previous roles at Stetson Middle School and Bayard Rustin High School have equipped her with the skills to lead various school-wide programs, including Student Voice, MTSS (Multi-Tiered Systems of Support), and APT (Academically and Personally Talented) programs. Dr. Stephen is also a dedicated mother of two, which has further enriched her empathy, patience, and understanding of children's needs.

“I am incredibly honored to be the new principal of Greystone Elementary,” said Dr. Stephen. “I look forward to working collaboratively with the talented staff and the entire Greystone community to create a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child thrives.”

Kyle Boyer

Dr. Kyle J. Boyer joins East High School as the new Assistant Principal, bringing extensive experience in educational leadership. Since 2022, he has served as the Dean of Students at Norristown Area High School, where he successfully spearheaded initiatives to cultivate a positive school climate. Dr. Boyer’s passion for implementing Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) has been a cornerstone of his work, reflecting his commitment to fostering an environment conducive to learning and growth.

“I am thrilled to join the East High School community and to work alongside a dedicated team of educators,” Dr. Boyer stated. “I am eager to bring my passion for student success to WCASD and look forward to joining the thriving learning community at East High School.”

Dr. Sara Missett, Director of Elementary Education for WCASD, expressed her excitement about Dr. Stephen’s new role, stating, “Dr. Stephen is an exceptional educator with a proven track record of enhancing school culture and student success. We are excited to have her lead Greystone Elementary and look forward to the great things she will accomplish.”

The West Chester Area School District looks forward to welcoming Dr. Stephen and Dr. Boyer to their new roles. Further information regarding their start dates will be communicated as those are determined. The district will also ensure a smooth transition for Dr. Stephen from her current role at Rustin High School, as we begin the search for a new Assistant Principal.
