West Chester, PA – On January 27, 2022, members from the Exton Region Chamber of Commerce gathered together for an Annual Review Luncheon and to kick off the celebration of the Chamber’s 50th anniversary. During the luncheon, the Chamber also recognized members who have provided exceptional support for its mission and members and commitment to the Exton community. West Chester Area School District’s Director of Business Affairs, John Scully, was honored as the 2021 recipient of the Chairman’s Award.
In her speech announcing the award winner, 2020-21 Chairman of the Board Fran Shaw said, “The Chairman’s Award for the Exton Region Chamber of Commerce is given annually to a board member in good standing who demonstrates outstanding commitment and dedication to the Chamber’s mission, vision and values.” The Chamber’s mission includes advancing the economic success of the membership and community by providing relationship building, marketing, education, advocacy and community outreach opportunities.
“It is with an enormous amount of appreciation and gratefulness that we present this year’s award to John Scully,” said Shaw. “John’s tireless dedication, thoughtfulness and humor has made him a key team member and his strong work ethic has helped the Chamber remain focused on its mission by continuing to build relationships and support community outreach,” she added.
John Scully first joined the Exton Regional Chamber of Commerce four years ago when the West Chester School Area District moved the district office building from West Goshen to Exton. He has since served on both the Chamber’s Board of Directors and Executive Council.
“In my career, joining the Chamber has been one of the best things that I have done,” said Scully upon receiving the award. “I have had the honor of meeting and working with wonderful people, and this is truly such a great Chamber, great community and a great place to live and work,” he added.
