WCASD English Language Arts Department Collaborates on Article

A team of West Chester Area School District teachers, along with Dr. Richard Mitchell, WCASD Supervisor of English Language Arts, recently collaborated on an article that appears in the June edition of English Journal, the flagship publication of the National Council of Teachers of English. The article is titled "Student Choice in the Culture of Standardized Testing."

"This is a huge accomplishment for all involved! We started working on the article during the 2018-2019 school year. The West Chester Area School District has added its voice to the national organization that governs our profession, the National Council of Teachers of English," said Dr. Mitchell.

The teachers who contributed to the article are Caitlin Boyle (Librarian at Rustin High School), Sarah Gallagher (English Language Arts teacher at Rustin High School), Katelyn Marion (Reading Specialist at Henderson High School), Caitlin McFadden (Reading Specialist at Rustin High School), Jessica Pribish (Reading Specialist at East High School), and Abigail Turley (English Language Arts department chair at Rustin High School).
