Elementary Students Participate in the Annual Art Goes to School Art Show

WCASD students participate in the annual Art Goes to School Art School at the Exton Square Mall

Thirty elementary school students from the West Chester Area School District (WCASD) received recognition recently at the opening ceremony of the annual Art Goes to School Art Show. Student artwork is on display at the Chester County Art Association gallery at the Exton Square Mall throughout the month of April.

Each spring, art teachers from each of the WCASD's ten elementary schools select three works of art from students in grades 3 - 5 to highlight in the art show. At the show's conclusion, volunteers with the organization will select one piece of student art to feature in the fine art portfolio that will be displayed in art classrooms throughout the region in the coming year.

Art Goes to School is a non-profit organization dedicated to art appreciation for elementary school children. Volunteers use games and stories to introduce students to art and artists.
