The West Chester Area School District climbed a couple of spots in Niche.com's annual Best Schools list, landing in the top two percent of public school districts in the nation and the top five percent in Pennsylvania. Overal, the District received an "A" rating. Last year's ranking saw the WCASD in the top two and a half percent nationally.

The website basis its annual rankings on the following criteria: state and national test results, class size, quality of teachers, safety, diversity, and athletics and co-curricular programs.
