Board Meetings & Policy Access Update

We are transitioning to new platforms for accessing Board of School Directors meeting materials and district policies.

All agendas, minutes, and supporting documents will now be available in the Board Meeting platform. District policies will be housed in a separate, searchable policy system.

The West Chester Area School District Board of Directors works to ensure the success of our students by guiding the district’s policies, budgeting, and long-term goals. The nine elected members represent three voting regions and are committed to fostering a high-quality educational environment for all students.

Engage with the Board

The Board is dedicated to fostering meaningful connections with the community and encourages active participation from students, families, and residents. Here’s how you can engage with the board:

  • Attend Meetings: School Board meetings are open to the public and offer an opportunity to stay informed about district initiatives, policy decisions, and budget planning. Meetings are held in-person at the Spellman Education Center and live-streamed on the WCASD YouTube Channel.
  • Public Comment: Share your thoughts or concerns during designated public comment periods at board meetings. This is your chance to have your voice heard on issues impacting the district.
  • Committee Participation: Explore the work of board committees, which focus on areas like teaching and learning, finance, policy, and personnel. Committees welcome public attendance and feedback.
  • Direct Communication: Contact individual board members or the board secretary with specific questions or ideas.

Keystone Agenda Access

WCASD recently transitioned to Keystone Agenda (by BoardBook) as its new platform for School Board and Committee meeting agendas and minutes. The new system provides a streamlined, user-friendly experience for accessing current and historic meeting information.

To view agendas and minutes, simply follow this link and scroll to the meeting you wish to access. A calendar of upcoming meeting dates and times is available below the meeting list, and historic agendas and minutes are also available through the site.
