The West Chester Area School District (WCASD) is proud to share that it has received four 2025 Pennsylvania School Public Relations Association (PenSPRA) Awards for Excellence in Communications, recognizing the district’s work across multiple platforms and formats.

WCASD earned Awards of Merit in the categories of Magazine, Newsletter Material, Social Media, and Video Series.

Each year, PenSPRA honors outstanding achievements in school communications through its statewide Excellence in Education Communications Contest. With more than 200 entries submitted, WCASD’s work was recognized among the top submissions, reflecting a continued commitment to clear, engaging, and meaningful communication with students, staff, families, and the broader community.

Molly Schwemler, Manager of District Communications, shared, “Communication is about more than sharing information, it’s about building trust and connection. This recognition reflects a team that cares deeply about telling the story of our schools in a way that feels real, relevant, and worth paying attention to.”

The awards were presented at the annual PenSPRA Symposium during the President’s Luncheon in March.
