Parent Portal (Powerschool) Account
Parents can log in to and use the Parent Portal to check their student’s grades, attendance, access report cards, update contact information, and view course recommendations. Visit the Parent Portal website or view a tutorial for instructions on navigating the site.

Parent Portal: Stay Connected All Year
The Parent Portal helps you stay informed and connected with your child’s school experience. While tools like Seesaw, Schoology, and Clever provide insight into daily learning, PowerSchool is the official gradebook of record. Through the Parent Portal, you can:
- Complete annual Back-to-School forms
- View grades, attendance, and class schedules
- Access report cards and teacher comments
- Set up email notifications
- Access bus information (start of year only)
- View health screenings completed at school
- Update your contact information
Already have an account?
Please log in to Parent Portal using your self-selected credentials, and take a few minutes to:
- Complete your Back-to-School Forms
- Confirm your contact details are current
- Review your notification preferences
- Add any new students to your account using their Access ID and password (see the Parent Portal letter from your school or contact the school office)

K-5 Standards-Based
Parent Portal Quick Guide: Viewing Standards-Based Grades
While detailed view of student performance on individual standards and assignments throughout the trimester. Families are encouraged to log into the Parent Portal regularly to stay informed of their child’s ongoing progress.
Go to the WCASD Website: Open your browser and go to: www.wcasd.net
Hover over “Parent Logins”: Click Parent Portal
Log In: Enter your Username and Password for PowerSchool. Creating a New Account? Follow this step by step guide: Creating a Parent Portal Account
Note: To complete this step, you’ll need the Access ID and password for each student. This information was provided in the Parent Portal letter from your school during registration. If you can’t find it, please contact the school office.
Select Your Student: After logging in, click your child’s name at the top of the screen (if you have more than one child).
View Grades: For trimester grades, click the small [ i ] icon next to each course and trimester to see more information.
Parent Portal Quick Guide: Viewing Standards-Based Grades
View Standards-Based Grades on Individual Assignments:
- Click the standards icon (looks like a small graph) next to an assignment to expand and see: the Standards assessed, the score attained, and any Flags or notes from the teacher.
- Be sure to use the Legend at the bottom of the screen to help interpret these Flags.
- To check Grades in an additional class, click Grades and Attendance to return to the Schedule View.
- To switch between children, simply click their name at the top of the screen.
- Log Out When Finished: For security, always log out when done by clicking the Sign Out link in the top right corner.

While the report card provides a summary of progress, the gradebook offers a more
detailed view of student performance on individual standards and assignments
throughout the trimester. Families are encouraged to log into the Parent Portal regularly

Recovering Username or Password
11 STEPS
1. The first step is to open Parent Portal and click Forgot Username or Password?
2. Enter the Username you created. If you forget your Username, skip ahead to Step 8 .
3. Enter your Username.
4. Enter your Email Address.
5. Click Enter.
6. Click Sign In to return to the Sign In screen. Check your email for instructions to reset your password.
7. Click Forgot Username?
8. Enter your Email Address.
9. Click Enter.
10. Click Sign In to return to the Sign In screen. Check your email for instructions to reset your password.
11. That's it. You're done.

How to Create A Parent Portal Account
13 STEPS
1. The first step is to open WCASD / Homepage and click Parent Portal - Opens a new window
2. Choose Create Account
3. Click Create Account
4. Enter Parent First Name and Last Name.
5. Enter Parent Email
6. Enter Desired Username for your parent account. Do no enter your student's district username.
7. Create a Strong Password for your account.
8. Scroll down. Here you will enter your student's Access ID and Access Password.
9. Enter Student Name
10. Enter Access ID
11. Enter Access Password
12. If you have multiple WCASD students, enter them here.
13. Scroll down and click Enter when finished all of your students. Your account is now created.

Navigating Parent Portal
22 STEPS
1. The first step is to open Parent Portal and enter your Parent Portal credentials and click Sign In.
2. Click on Grades and Attendance.
3. Click on any grade to see the assignments for that course.
4. Take note of the Legend at the bottom of the page.
5. Click the Teacher Name to send an email to the teacher.
6. To access Bus Information, click Forms.
7. Click on Student Bus Information.
8. Scroll down and click Back to School Forms to complete your child's Back to School forms.
9. Click Course History to view your child's transcript.
10. Click Schedule to view your child's current schedule.
11. Click Grade History to view past years' grades for your child.
12. Click Attendance History to view attendance records.
13. Click Student Reports to view your child's report card.
14. Click Class Registration. This area will show course requests once the Course Selection window opens.
15. Click School Information to view information on your child's school.
16. Click Keystone to view the results of your child's Keystone Tests (if applicable).
17. Click Schoology to create your Parent Account in Schoology.
18. Click Immunization to view your child's immunization records.
19. Scroll and click Health Screenings to view the screenings the district has completed.
20. Scroll and click Account Preferences to edit your email address and/or add students to your Parent Portal Account.
21. View and edit your Account Profile and email address. Here you can also Add a Student to your Parent Portal Account.
22. Add the new student information here, then click OK when finished.

Cómo crear una cuenta
12 STEPS

Navegación del Portal para Padres
23 STEPS
1. El primer paso es abrir el Portal para padres ingresando sus credenciales y hacer clic en Iniciar sesión.

Add a Student to an Existing Account
Once logged in, click on Account Preferences on the menu, click the Students tab, click Add, and then enter the child’s name, access ID, and access password. Choose a relationship and then click Submit. Download a PDF guide to add a child to an existing parent portal account.
