Creating a Parent Portal Account

Parents can log in to and use the Parent Portal to check their student’s grades, attendance, access report cards, and view course recommendations.

Visit the Parent Portal website or view instructions on navigating the site for the first time. A video has been created to help parents view their students schedule through the Standards Grade Tab.

Recovering Username or Password

11 STEPS

1. The first step is to open Parent Portal and click Forgot Username or Password?

2. Enter the Username you created. If you forget your Username, skip ahead to Step 8 .

3. Enter your Username.

4. Enter your Email Address.

Step 4 image

5. Click Enter.

6. Click Sign In to return to the Sign In screen. Check your email for instructions to reset your password.

7. Click Forgot Username?

8. Enter your Email Address.

9. Click Enter.

10. Click Sign In to return to the Sign In screen. Check your email for instructions to reset your password.

11. That's it. You're done.

How Create A Parent Portal Account

13 STEPS

1. The first step is to open WCASD / Homepage and click Parent Portal - Opens a new window

2. Choose Create Account

3. Click Create Account

4. Enter Parent First Name and Last Name.

5. Enter Parent Email

Step 5 image

6. Enter Desired Username for your parent account. Do no enter your student's district username.

7. Create a Strong Password for your account.

Step 7 image

8. Scroll down. Here you will enter your student's Access ID and Access Password.

9. Enter Student Name

10. Enter Access ID

11. Enter Access Password

Step 11 image

12. If you have multiple WCASD students, enter them here.

13. Scroll down and click Enter when finished all of your students. Your account is now created.

Navigating Parent Portal

22 STEPS

1. The first step is to open Parent Portal and enter your Parent Portal credentials and click Sign In.

2. Click on Grades and Attendance.

3. Click on any grade to see the assignments for that course.

4. Take note of the Legend at the bottom of the page.

5. Click the Teacher Name to send an email to the teacher.

6. To access Bus Information, click Forms.

Step 6 image

7. Click on Student Bus Information.

Step 7 image

8. Scroll down and click Back to School Forms to complete your child's Back to School forms.

9. Click Course History to view your child's transcript.

Step 9 image

10. Click Schedule to view your child's current schedule.

11. Click Grade History to view past years' grades for your child.

Step 11 image

12. Click Attendance History to view attendance records.

Step 12 image

13. Click Student Reports to view your child's report card.

14. Click Class Registration. This area will show course requests once the Course Selection window opens.

15. Click School Information to view information on your child's school.

16. Click Keystone to view the results of your child's Keystone Tests (if applicable).

17. Click Schoology to create your Parent Account in Schoology.

18. Click Immunization to view your child's immunization records.

19. Scroll and click Health Screenings to view the screenings the district has completed.

20. Scroll and click Account Preferences to edit your email address and/or add students to your Parent Portal Account.

21. View and edit your Account Profile and email address. Here you can also Add a Student to your Parent Portal Account.

22. Add the new student information here, then click OK when finished.

Cómo recuperar el nombre de usuario o la contraseña

Cómo crear una cuenta

4. Escriba el nombre y apellido(s) del/de padre/la madre.

6. Cree su nombre de usuario que desee. No utilice el nombre de usuario que el distrito le dió a su estudiante.

7. Cree una contraseña segura para su cuenta que contenga por lo menos 8 letras o números.

8. Escriba el nombre de su estudiante.

9. Copie el número de acceso que aparace en la carta de la escuela.

11. Si tiene más de un estudiante, agréguelos a continuación.

Navegación del Portal para Padres

1. El primer paso es abrir el Portal para padres ingresando sus credenciales y hacer clic en Iniciar sesión.

2. Pantalla inicial: Calificaciones y Asistencia.

3. Haga clic en cualquier calificación para ver las tareas del curso.

4. Haga clic en Calificaciones y asistencia para seleccionar otro curso. Note las claves al pié de página.

5. Haga clic en el nombre del maestro para enviar un correo electrónico al maestro.

20. Haga clic en Preferencias de Cuenta para cambiar su contraseña y agregar estudiantes a su cuenta.

Need to add a child to an existing parent portal account?

Once logged in, click on Account Preferences on the menu, click the Students tab, click Add, and then enter the child’s name, access ID, and access password. Choose a relationship and then click Submit. Download a PDF guide that will help you add a child to an existing parent portal account.
