WCASD Acceleration Program

The WCASD Credit Acceleration Program allows students the opportunity to earn original credit over the summer, providing greater flexibility in their schedules for the following year. Only WCASD students may enroll in our summer programs.

Any pre-registered students may enroll; however, they will not receive a WCASD laptop. It is up to the family to provide a device, comparable to a WCASD student laptop, for the student to complete their coursework on.

Please note that transportation is not provided for this program.

Courses Offered

Students looking to accelerate their learning by taking additional coursework over the summer can enroll in one of the following courses:

These courses are created and taught by WCASD faculty. Learning will be a combination of in-person and online instruction according to the schedule for each course. Students will meet in-person at Henderson High School on Tuesdays from 8:30-11:30 a.m. 

Program Registration

We're excited that you are interested in registering for WCASD's Acceleration Program this summer! Registration will be processed through the Parent Portal and requires just a few simple steps: 

  1. Login to Parent Portal
  2. Click on the "Forms" section on the left hand navigation
  3. Click "2026 Summer Accelerated Learning Registration" 

After registering, families will see a fee in their student’s PaySchool account within one week. Registration is not complete until we receive payment for the summer school course. Please note that high school credit is not awarded to current 7th graders. 

Please be aware that registration closes on Monday, June 1, 2026, and payment will be due Friday, June 8, 2026. 

If a student withdraws from Summer School prior to the first day of summer school, their fees will be refunded, minus a processing fee.  If summer school has already begun, a refund will be considered and determined by the summer school administrator in consultation with the Assistant Superintendent.
