What do you do with a lamp that does not work, or with a bike when the brakes don't work right, or with a garment that needs mending? Toss it? No way! Bring it to the Repair Café on July 12th, 2025 10am -2pm at Central Presbyterian Church [100 W. Uwchlan Ave. Downingtown, PA 19335] At the Repair Café everything is about making repairs and reducing waste sent to landfills. On event day starting at 10:00 AM and ending at 2:00 PM various volunteer experienced repairers called Repair Coaches will be available to help make all possible repairs free of charge. People visiting the Repair Café will bring their broken but treasured items from home, toasters, lamps, hair dryers, clothes, bikes, toys, ... anything that is broken is welcome. They can more than likely be repaired; the Repair Coaches almost always have the know-how.

Camp Geronimo at Spring Brook Farm is a unique summer camp experience for children of varying abilities. We focus on recognizing their strengths and maximizing their potential. This an amazing opportunity for students in grades K-10 to attend a summer basketball camp at Henderson High School run by the head coaches at Henderson (Coach Ritter) and East (Coach Durant) and counselors consisting of college basketball players and members of the varsity teams. Shoes for the Homeless Volunteer Youth Ambassador Program is open to all students aged 13 to 18. They can earn 24+ community service hours, learn leadership skills, and build their college resume' by helping the homeless in their area.

The West Chester Food Cupboard provides a variety of quality food to support a balanced and healthy diet and recently revised the income guidelines regarding who is eligible for assistance. Eligible families can come once a month and receive about two weeks of groceries free of charge, and stop by the Express Store on Monday and Friday for additional food.
