Dear Parents and Staff,
We are currently experiencing difficulty sending email to Microsoft Services including Hotmail. The difficulty is due to a phishing attack on our email network last week, resulting in the hijacking of a few staff email accounts for the sole purpose of spam distribution. In other words, an email account starts to send messages to multiple accounts. When this happens, some service providers view this as spam and blocks all email from the sending server.
We are working diligently to restore delivery to these services. Please know the following:
- We are receiving emails from all service providers.
- No student or staff data was affected.
- If a parent sent an email to a staff member, and the staff member’s reply to that email is returned as undeliverable, we will ask our staff to respond by phone.
- If a parent does not receive a response within a 24-hour period, please call the school and leave a message.
As soon as we know our email is back to normal, we will inform parents. We apologize for the inconvenience. We appreciate your patience.
