Through the use of distance learning, a teacher in one of our
high schools provides the instruction, which can be simultaneously
relayed to classrooms in the other two high schools via
videoconferencing equipment. This customized classroom enables the
instructor to be fully available to provide personalized instruction
to students at all sites. Students and instructor have the ability
to communicate, interact, and learn just as they would in a
traditional setting. In addition, a certified teacher is physically
present at each of the remote sites to facilitate classroom
management.
The technology utilized for distance learning is also being
increasingly applied in the business world, where employees no
longer travel physically to workshops and conferences but attend
them through videoconferencing equipment.
Distance learning is a proven technique that is enabling us to offer
a full range of courses while also preparing our students for the
technology they will encounter as they further their education and
enter the work world. Please plan to attend the orientation session
and learn more about this approach to learning in our district.

The District relies upon parents to monitor the learning process, encourage children in their studies, and communicate concerns to the staff.
