Congratulations to the District Honors Orchestra!

Congratulations to the District Honors Orchestra for being accepted to perform at the 2007 PMEA (Pennsylvania Music Educators Association) Conference at the Hershey Convention Center from April 19-21.

This elementary string orchestra is under the direction of Bill Binkley, Adriana Park and Lynn Weston. It is one of only 25 groups selected to perform from among over 175 bands, choirs and orchestras from throughout the state. Groups are selected after submitting a tape recording, which is judged against other similar groups. Only the top groups in each category (Band, Chorus, Orchestra) and on each level (Elementary, Middle & High School) are chosen as the best in the state!!

The distric’st middle school Select Strings Orchestra under the direction of Katrina Kelly and the district’s high school Senior Strings Orchestra under the direction of Charles dePasquale achieved this same honor at last year’s conference.
