Math Night Catches On in District Elementary Schools

Fueled by a program started last year by Virginia Wells (Glen Acres teacher) and Pam DiBartolomeo (Math Resource Teacher), math fever is catching on throughout the district’s elementary schools. Exton, Glen Acres, Fern Hill, and East Bradford have each hosted a full evening of events centered around mathematical concepts and games. Many of the other district elementary schools will follow with their own versions later in the school year.

Teachers and staff members volunteered to come back to their schools in the evening to interact and supervise the activities. Among the many stations, children in grades K-5 explored geometry, measurement, graphing, number sense, computation and estimation, and problem solving.
