Gold Cards Provide Free Admission to School Musicals, Sports Contests
Retired senior citizens who reside in the West Chester Area School District and are at least 60 years of age are entitled to gold cards admitting them free of charge to all district events, including sports contests, high school musicals, and drama productions.
The School Board initiated the gold cards a year ago, naming them in honor of former State Rep. Elinor Z. Taylor. Rep. Taylor was retiring from a long career of service in the state legislature at the time. So far, over 700 of the popular ‘Elinor Z. Taylor Gold Cards’ have been issued.
Interested persons are asked to contact the District Communications Office in the Spellman Administration Building at 484-266-1171 to order their card.
