Child Accounting
The Child Accounting Office
maintains the District’s
computerized student registration database and monitors student
placement in other public schools, private institutions,
and other educational facilities outside of the West Chester
Area School District.
This department also processes billings and payments for
students in educational facilities. Since this function is
mandated by the PA Dept. of Education (PDE), the Child Accounting
Dept. sends numerous reports to PDE, who in turn utilizes
our records to generate state subsidies for Basic Education
and Special Education.
