New Student Registration

Age Cut-off Dates

Children are eligible for kindergarten in the school district if they are five years of age before September 1 and for first grade if they are six by that date.

Kindergarten Registration/New To First Grade Registration

Children are registered in the schools they will attend. Persons seeking information on the school that serves their neighborhood are asked to visit our Attendance Boundaries website or call the Transportation Office at 484.266.1040. For any questions regarding registration, please contact the school your child will attend.

The Following Items are Needed for Registration:

• Birth certificate
• Proof of district residency (parent/guardian name and address must appear
  on document. Examples are: agreement of sale, lease, current utility bill, bank statement, vehicle registration, etc)
• Physical exam report and dental exam report dated after August 2007
• Immunization records for:
  • Diphtheria
  • Pertussus
  • Tetanus
  • Polio
  • Measles
  • Rubella
  • Mumps
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varivax and/or a history of chicken pox
• Tuberculin test and/or tuberculin risk evaluation

In order to expedite the registration process, we are providing you with some of the forms you will be required to complete. Please print out the following forms, complete at your convenience and bring them with you to registration along with the required documentation listed above.

Students Transferring into the School District

To register kindergarten through fifth grade children who are transferring into the district, parents are asked to call the office of the elementary school serving their neighborhood. Middle and high school transfers are handled through the guidance departments at each school.

Persons seeking information on the schools that serve their neighborhood are asked to visit our Attendance Boundaries website or call the Transportation Office at 484.266.1041. Newcomers seeking information on schools (other than registration information), should call the Communications Office at 484.266.1170.

All items needed for kindergarten are also needed to register students transferring into the district. In addition, the name and address of the previous school are required.
